I live in subsidized housing, after being homeless for 8 years. My 2 teenagers and I moved in on 3/11/2020. In October, my daughter turned 18, and my son moved out. My child support and welfare cash aid stopped too. We were in a 3 bedroom. Since my son left, my daughter and I needed to go to a 2 bedroom. We moved in December 2022. I am looking for work and so is my daughter. I’ve been dealing with mental health issues, and physical ailments recently, so it makes it even more stressful because my landlady is charging me thousands of dollars for repairs for stuff they are doing to the old apartment even though I left it very clean with no damages. Only normal wear and tear. I paid a deposit upon moving in, my son left a large credit, and the resource center here helped pay $300 towards the new deposit she is charging me for. I never received a deposit back, and I am worried I will be evicted and become homeless.

I need a mediator and help with funding. I don’t believe the charges are fair. Especially considering she gave me 90 days to pay $4000 and I live in low income subsidized housing!
